Interview with Jennifer Jackson

Jennifer Jackson set up Paper Bird in the Moore’s Building at 46 Henry Street, Fremantle – right next to the Moore & Moore Cafe and Contemporary Art Gallery, coming up 4 years ago.

It looks like a little bookshop from the street front, but once you enter inside you discover a whole wide world of childhood creativity going on. Not only are there books and books and books, but also book readings, book writing and book illustrating. And there’s more. Children book clubs and therapy services. A playground hidden at the back straight off the Moore & Moore cafe area. And art gallery space for local Freo artists. The list goes on. Have a look at paperbird.com.au

Listen here to Jennifer Jackson, a professional child psychotherapist, explain her original vision for Paper Bird and how it keeps growing. This is a real Freo success story. Visit soon!
