Nellie Crawford’s next exhibition of her fab still life paintings opens at The STUDIO Gallery in Yallingup on 28 February 2026. You are invited!
Nellie Crawford’s still life paintings are so well know they hardly need any introduction. But just in case you’re not instantly familiar with them, here’s a few to remind you!

And this one too!

And here’s the artist herself!

And here’s another of her still life paintings.

Nellie’s Solo Exhibition at The STUDIO Gallery, 7 Marrinup Drive, Yallingup opens 27 February with an Official Opening on Saturday, 28 February between 5.30 pm and 7 pm. You can in fact pop in before the official opening, and pre-opening sales are also being accepted. The exhibition runs through 15 March.
As Nellie Crawford’s work is in high demand, you might want to consider getting in early.
Working from her home studio in Fremantle, Nellie Crawford is inspired by the domestic objects and scenes of everyday life that we see every day. Her latest work explores the beauty to be found in these everyday objects. These paintings are characterised by minimal composition, muted tones, soft edges and atmospheric effects which invite contemplation and reflection.
Influenced by the works of Chardin and Morandi and contemporary Dutch and Belgian still-life artists, Nellie has developed a style which is uniquely her own, and is recognised both locally and internationally. She has had over 20 solo exhibitions in Australia, France, Singapore and the UK.
Of her own work, Nellie says –
‘For me, the most important thing about any work of art is that it evokes a feeling or emotion in the viewer. The feeling I try to convey is one of harmony and balance, a sense of those quiet moments of reflection we look for in our day to day lives. My aim is to paint pictures that people can live with and look at with increasing pleasure – to capture a feeling or a moment in time which then becomes timeless.’
