This promises to be a magnificent concert and FCO are hoping to fill Fremantle Town Hall and the Churchlands auditorium to do the music justice.
Rebecca Glorie (violin), Melinda Forsythe (cello) and Tommaso Pollio (piano), together with the full FCO orchestra led by John Keene (conductor) will be a sound and sight to behold.
For the aficionados, FCO’s Director, Hans Hug tells us the No 1 may be described as ‘uplifting, charming, early romanticism’.
The FCO will be at its biggest and best for Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, which features the violin, cello and piano. Hans says this is simply ‘most glorious Beethoven’.
Fremantle Chamber Orchestra is a wonderful Freo institution. The solo artists and the musicians who swell the orchestra are of the highest quality. And like all performers, they love playing to a full house. So do get along to help make these concerts ones to remember.
If you’ve been to a FCO performance before, you will know what a treat is in store for you. If you haven’t been before, we can assure you you’ll have a wonderful afternoon out.
And if you attend the Fremantle Town Hall concert you have the additional advantage of being able to lunch with friends in Freo before the concert, or dining in Freo with friends after it.
If you’d like to know more about FCO, look at the FCO webpage here or their Facebook page here.
