We have just noticed this interesting signage near the bollarded entrance to a large industrial-looking site off South Terrace, South Fremantle – on the eastern side just south of East West.
‘Heroes’ we get. The appropriation of ‘Comrades’, however, for something in Freo that looks anything but something designed by or for the Working Class or Labor Left, has us wondering …
Perhaps it’s a sign indicating a place where like-minded people will meet to join arms and sing The Internationale?
More probably, it’s just a good example of good advertising!
