Sunshine and the last day of the school holidays brought families flocking to Fremantle’s Fishing Boat Harbour on Sunday for WA Day celebrations.
WA Day is usually in early June, but due to terrible weather this June, it was postponed until the end of the October School Holidays. Perhaps it will become a thing?

The family-friendly event had food trucks, face painting and music. Children lined up to pet and groom ‘unicorns’ (ponies fitted with artificial horns), while mermaids swam in a tank.
Lots of fun.
Here are some lovely pics of the afternoon snapped by our roving reporter, Jean Hudson!
