Starting 7 pm tonight, 5 January
Here’s the latest from Main Roads WA.

What this means: We have spoken with Main Roads people and they confirm this means that the work will be nightly between 7 pm and 6 in the morning following.
Westbound travel along High Street between East and Parry Streets, into Freo, won’t be possible between those hours at night.
But Eastbound traffic out of Freo is still ok, although it may be affected by traffic management depending on the circumstances, and no doubt will be slowed down.
During the day traffic will be able to travel in both directions along High Street between East Street and Parry Street.
Fingers crossed, they might get the work done in a couple nights, but they’ve allowed three just in cases.
So, good idea immediately to consider alternative runs, like those suggested in the diagram above, for the next three nights if you are planning on coming into Freo and would usually take High Street.
Good luck!
And by the way, there’s more coming. Here’s an Advanced Notification.
