Many Freo folk loved and admired Horatio T Birdbath’s zest for life and his style.

On the Shipping News we have posted the tribute of former Freo Mayor Dr Brad Pettitt MLC, and the personal memories of his friend Jan Maria.

Many more can be found on the Farewell Horatio Facebook page dedicated to Birdbath’s life and times around Freo.

Friends and fans have been working hard helping to organise the celebration of Horatio T Birdbath’s life and contribution to Freo, and are running a crowdfunding campaign to help with the costs of the burial, event, and a lasting memorial.

The farewell event will be held on the afternoon of 12 July at the Fremantle Town Hall.

In the meantime, the organisers are hoping folk will see their way free to contribute to the GoFundMe page for Birdbath’s Send Off In Style. Needless to say, he died penniless. Here’s the page.
