Fremantle Harbour Classic Yacht Race is BACK!

Something not to miss at the Port this Sunday!

This is fantastic fun, you can see the whites of the sailor’s eyes from vantage points along Victoria Quay.

The Harbour Classic traces its roots to the very first Harbour race in 1910. Fremantle Sailing Club took over as event organiser in 1991 running the race up until 2020 when COVID hit.

This is an invitation-only race and is returning to Fremantle’s inner harbour on Sunday 19 October 2025, between 2-3pm.

Fremantle Sailing Club recently shared this gem from the archives a 1948 authorisation letter granting permission to hold yacht racing in Fremantle Harbour.

How incredible to look back on our history as we set course for the future, 77 years later!

And here’s a gallery of great action shots Bernie Kasks took during the 2019 race.

Come on down to Victoria Quay on Sunday, watch the action, cheer from the shore, and soak up the atmosphere of this historic event!
