As we reported recently on the launch of Felicity’s campaign, the Greens are hoping to pick up a good handful of seats in the upper house of the State Parliament, the Legislative Council, at these elections and are also hoping Felicity will be one of their lower house colleagues in the new Parliament.
On her campaign website Felicity introduces herself in this way –
‘I’M A FREO LOCAL, A COMMUNITY ADVOCATE, AND A MUM, AND I’M SO EXCITED TO BE YOUR GREENS CANDIDATE FOR FREMANTLE IN THE STATE ELECTION!
‘For years, I was involved in small-scale sustainability and community advocacy work. I saw the positive effects that local action could have, but it soon became clear to me that working within a broken system can only get you so far – if you want to make a substantial difference, you have to change the system.’
