View from the Round House – With Martin Drum #2

Last week we were pleased to welcome you to our new feature, a podcast we have called View From The Round House – With Martin Drum.

It’s all about the Federal Election, which of course is now in full swing – just two weeks away.

And it’s great to have Martin Drum, Professor of Politics and International Relations at Notre Dame University, Fremantle and a well know political pundit on board.

In Fremantle you are spoilt for choice, if the fact that 10 candidates have declared their intent on winning the seat means anything.

Our Freo Candidates podcasts are also designed to let the candidates speak for themselves. Check them out.

On the face of it, however, the incumbent MP, Labor’s Josh Wilson, will be hard to beat. And Freo has been a pretty safe Federal Labor seat for decades now.

But what’s happening elsewhere in the country and WA on the election front? What seem to be the issues that matter? What about the independent candidates? Will there be a hung parliament? Would that be a disaster for democracy? And where are things with the Senate vote?

So much to talk about.

But before we do, don’t forget the Big Freo Candidates Debate is in at Tannock Hall, Notre Dame University next Tuesday night, 10 May at 6 pm.

And in case you missed it, here’s View from the Round House – With Martin Drum #1.

Now it’s time to tune into todays #2 podcast with our editor, Michael Barker, getting he good oil from Martin Drum.
