Royal Commission has set up an National Legal Advice Service
The Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion has advised today that individuals who want to engage with the Royal Commission are able to access two free legal advice providers to support them, including to share their story.

People can contact the service for free legal information, help and advice, including about making a voluntary submission to the Royal Commission. The Royal Commission is currently inviting members of the public and institutions to make submissions.
National Legal Aid and the Jewish Centre for Law and Justice are now both operating the National Legal Advice Service.
The service has been established by the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department to support people who want to engage with the Royal Commission. The service provides independent, trauma-informed and culturally safe legal advice to members of the public, including family members, carers and supporters.
People do not need to be formal witnesses to the Royal Commission to access the service. The service will operate for the duration of the Royal Commission.
