Almost 3 years to the day, Seabourn Sojourn returns to Freo!

Almost 3 years to the day, the luxury mega-yacht Seabourn Sojourn has returned to Fremantle.

On 19 March 2020, as Covid-19 became a thing and life as we knew it took a pause, so did the cruise ship industry.

At that time, the Seabourn Sojourn was on a 146 day cruise from Miami to Singapore when she was diverted to Fremantle from Colombo, bringing the cruise to an abrupt end – as we reported here.

Time flies, or in any event eventually passes, and here’s the Seabourn Sojourn making a scheduled arrival in Fremantle this morning, 20 March 2023, just before 6.30 am.

Fair to say, a fair bit of water has passed under her these past three years.

Right now she’s on an amazing 140 day cruise from Miami to Barcelona.

Seabourn Sojourn is in Freo as a ‘transit’ ship. Having arrived this morning, she departs tonight around 11 pm.

Here’s a gallery of more of our shots of the Seabourn Sojourn’s entry into Freo this morning. She’s some ship.

A few passengers will leave the ship in Fremantle and a similar number will join her, including no doubt a lucky couple or three from Freo and roundabout!

All up, the Seabourn Sojourn can accomodate around 450 ‘guests’ and has a crew of around 350. A good ratio!

Around 142 passengers are understood to be heading out on pre-booked tours today around the Perth metro area, while some 200 are expected to cruise the streets of Freo during the day and early evening. Keep an eye out for them and say Hi.
