Who’d be a Princess?

It was just over three months ago when we reported that the Coral Princess was in Australian waters aiming to bring joy to the hearts of Aussie cruise ship aficionados, but had been struck by the dreaded Covid lurgie.

Coral Princess arriving in Brisbane earlier this year

She was berthed in Brisbane at that point en route for ports further south along the East Coast. It seemed around 100 passengers were affected. Eventually the drama passed and we didn’t hear anything more – until now.

Today it was reported that up to 100 folk on board the Coral Princess are experiencing Covid off Broome, and under WA protocols must isolate for five days.

Bear in mind that with crew there can be up to 2300 or more people on board, so 100 is a relatively small proportion of the full ship complement.

Here’s where the Coral Princess was around 9.00 am this morning Western Australian time, sailing towards Geraldton, her next port of call.

She’s due to berth in Fremantle this Saturday.
