Jane Hammond is a freelance journalist and film maker.

She has had more than 25 years experience in the media and communications.

Until 2012, Jane was a senior journalist with The West Australian newspaper in Perth and before that with The Australian newspaper, Australian Associated Press and a raft of regional and community newspapers.

Jane’s freelance work has been published in magazines and newspapers around the nation and overseas.

Science, environment and social affairs reporting have always been her focus.

Since 2012, Jane has reinvented herself as a film maker.

Her documentaries, @acrudeinjustice and @cryoftheforests have been hard hitting social impact successes.
