This tiny street in Beaconsfield punches way above its weight.
And it’s been doing so since the very first ‘Airing of the Quilts and Crafts’ in 2004.
This year the fabulous event is on again as part of the Agnes St Craft Market and Garage Sale Trail event this Saturday, 13 November.
The garage sale itself is part of the City of Fremantle’s Garage Sale Trail, 2021. Very official!
All in all, Agnes Street could well be one of your one-stop Christmas shops this year!
Parking is likely to be at a premium so do consider the delights and benefits of parking at a distance and taking a leisurely walk.
At 10 am you will hear the sonic sounds of the all female band Strange Combo, playing their second gig replete with Chinese drums.
If you love quilts, as we do, you will find some of the best-made and most colourful here, made by talented, local Freo crafters.
Have a look through this gallery to get an idea of things you’ll be able to buy for Christmas, or just because you like the look of them.
To hear more about the event, its origins and what to expect on Saturday, do listen to our Michael Barker’s podcast interview with the organisers Ronelle Brossard and Ali Biddiscombe. Ronelle is a recognised super-quilter and Ali seems to be able to make anything out of nothing.
