If you haven’t been to the Cool Room Cafe in Holland Street, Freo, then it’s time for a visit.
This hidden gem, just beyond Central Freo, is fitted out with retro furniture and has great local artwork, simply wonderful food and now, to top it all off, the REEL Cool Carpark Film Festival.
This Friday evening, March 8 in the Cool Room Carpark the festival presents the 1971 film classic, Walkabout by enigmatic film maker Nicolas Roeg, featuring the debut of the 15 year old David Gulpilil.
Walkabout has been described as haunting, thought provoking and stunning. Beautiful imagery and wonderful music combine to bring back this seminal cult classic.
