3. Talk: Food for Body & Soul: A Place in the Country

This talk is part of the City’s Local and Sustainable Food principle under the City’s One Planet Strategy.

4. Performance: Simone Spittle – ‘The Art of Oversharing’

Airing your dirty laundry is just one of the ways Simone Spittle has perfected the art of over-sharing. In a show that promises to expose the awkwardly funny moments in a world that’s constantly trying to present its best side, the Art of Oversharing is here to welcome home truths with open arms.

Featuring a vibrant array of talented artists, Simone is supported by Krista Low on cello, Jeanie Proude on backing vocals and Valerio Fiorini on drums.

5. Music: Rob Zielinski

Rob Zielinski’s long awaited debut album has been twenty years in the making. The first recordings were done in County Kerry when he was 23 years old, and the latest recordings were made this year in Albany WA. He will be joined by many special guests in the beautiful acoustics of Kidogo Arthouse.

9. Class: Cabinet of Curiosity

Popular in the 1700s, Wunderkammer were collections of unique and unusual items from around the world. They were mini-showcases, tapping into the interest in natural sciences at the time.

Students will have a selection of minerals, fossils and some natural specimens to work with. (All supplied) You will create a beautiful, unique natural history display for your home

  • Chemicals, glue, spray paint. (all materials are ethically sourced, where possible)
  • Please bring your own lunch.
  • Please bring a box or bag to carry your work home in.

10. Taxidermy: Quails Pearls

Create a beautiful, unique natural history display for your home Students at these classes will learn the process of taxidermy in a two day workshop.

Preserve your very own adult quail to be displayed under a dome.  Learn about skinning, washing, defleshing, preserving the inside of the skin, and making a body form using plumbers’ hemp. You will adorn and decorate your specimen in a lavish style with gems, pearls and chains to create a magical creature.
