We at FSN love the port and love that Fremantle is an active port city, so to have the Peace Boat (A Japanese cruiseship which travels the world promoting global friendship and nuclear disarmament) docked at Victoria Quay was an exciting event for us.
A double dose of excitement was having the Wanjoo (welcome) happen down at BShed.
There was a Smoking ceremony, Welcome to Country and much much more, with such moving and heartening stories from both suvivors of Hiroshima and Maralinga.
FSN also visited the Making Waves forum on Thursday 25th at Notre Dame which included a walk back to the Peace Boat through Fremantle.
