Silver Moon Over Freo

Another stylish Silversea cruiser ties up in Freo

Silver Moon sparkled on the waves as she made her way through the North and South Moles and into Fremantle Harbour around 11.30 this morning.

Her hull mirrored the shifting colours of the ocean and sky on a warm cloudy Freo day. Cotton-like cumulous clouds drifted across the sky and added a dramatic backdrop as I waited on her arrival. Her later than usual arrival time (most cruise ships arrive at dawn) meant that more passengers were up and about on deck to admire our lovely harbour and surrounding beaches.

Silver Moon is on a 9-day, one-way cruise from Singapore. She visited Benoa, Bali en route.

Last week we brought you Silversea’s Silver Nova – this week it’s Silver Moon—Fremantle is sparkling with all these luxury silver cruise ships. These two highlight Fremantle’s place on the global luxury cruise map—a small but telling reminder of how the port’s narrative keeps evolving.

Silver Moon was launched in 2021 by Silver Cruises. It’s a Muse-class ship that can carry up to 691 passengers and 411 crew. She’s a sister ship to Silver Muse and Silver Dawn. Passengers enjoy S.A.L.T.(Sea and Land Taste), a culinary concept unique to Silver Moon, immersing guests in local food and culture through onboard cooking labs and shore excursions.

She homeports in Vancouver, Canada; Seward, Alaska; Tokyo, Japan; and Sydney.

Like Silver Nova, all suites feature ocean views, most with private verandas.

She will remain in port overnight before departing tomorrow, 20 November at 7pm, for a 10-night voyage to Melbourne.

Why don’t you head down to Victoria Quay with family or friends to see her leave? It’s always quite a sight.
