The Queen Elizabeth – From All Angles, North and South!

Well, the Cunard cruise liner, Queen Elizabeth, arrived in Freo this morning just before 11.

She was, as you might expect, fashionably late!

As our regular readers will know from our earlier report, the QE had her cruise to Fremantle via Bali, from Darwin, cut short by an onboard outbreak of Covid. As a result, she has arrived in Freo a couple days sooner than originally planned and will depart on Friday, 2 December at 10 pm bound for Sydney.

As Republican as we are at Fremantle Shipping News, we couldn’t resist the pulling power of this grand cruiser.

We had our Shipping Correspondent, Jean Hudson, strategically placed at Rous Head to record the QE’s arrival from the north side of the entrance to Freo’s inner harbour, and Deanna Shanahan, of the famous Instagram duo @flotsamandjetdam, at South Mole covering the south side entrance.

What lovely galleries, from these different vantage points, Jean’s and Deanna’s fine photographs make.
