Don’t miss the Grand Finale 20th Anniversary Concert of Fremantle Chamber Orchestra. You can attend either the Freo concert in Fremantle Town Hall on 1 November 2025 or the Government House Ballroom concert in Perth on 2 November. Or both! But either way, be sure to book now to avoid disappointment.
Here’s the detail and how to book.

And here are FCO Director Hans Hugs’ notes on the concert kindly provided to us by Hans.
Mozart’s Great G minor symphony No 40, his most popular, opens the concert. This is a truly grand work, one of Mozart’s last and 1 of only 2 in a minor key. Charles Rosen called it “a work of passion, violence, and grief.”
Arvo Pärt’s Da Pacem Domine (Give Peace, Lord) contrasts and complements Mozart’s master piece. Arvo Pärt is a contemporary Estonian composer and Da Pacem Domine is a restful jewel in modern music.
Saint-Saëns’s Piano Concerto 2, a romantic master piece featuring the amazing James Dekleva, unusually starts with a slow movement progressing into the hilariously furious Tarantella finale.
With John Keene conducting, this promises to be a grand listening experience indeed.
Fremantle Chamber Orchestra lacks proper funding and exists thanks to its most generous donors and sponsors.
It’s always a great event.
See you there!
