Don’t miss Gerry’s Gold neighbourhood music gig this Saturday

‘Gerry’s Gold‘ Neighbourhood Music Festival is happening this Saturday 29 June, 2pm – 7pm.

It’s a real neighbourhood event, organised by the Michaels, Michael Knight and Michael Tucak, so it should be good. BYO. Sausage sizzle with softies/zeros available. Kids under 12 free.

It’s touted as an afternoon of ‘neighbourhood & music’ in Gerry’s Lane, off Chalmers St, Fremantle.

There’s an excellent line up of local & neighbourhood artists (in playing order):

Penny Lane – a rare early chance to see the namesake of Penny Lane’s Music School playing her new tunes set for release later in year.

The Quixotics – Michael and Gabe Francas in duo mode hot on the heels of their successful single launch at Hybrid Warehouse.

Alder Sisters – a super-rare gig from a folk duo made up of stars in their own right, Ruby Pettit and Vanessa Millar (Veruca Moon).

Tom Brown – fresh from releasing his debut EP “My Holland St Heart”, Tom is at home right here. Lo-fi, fresh and extremely listenable music.

Dave Kent – Dave brings his spurs and cowboy hat on the ride up from down south, with new single “80 Proof” under his belt.

Anna Schneider – with some stunning pop gems out in the universe, Anna brings her gorgeous songs from a few blocks away to serenade sunset.

Abbe May (solo!) – Fremantle’s powerhouse closes the show as twilight turns to night, fresh from her new single launch, sending you off to your Saturday night.

“Gerry’s Gold” honours late neighbour/legend Gerry who (it is said) buried gold somewhere in the vicinity – the “gold” on Saturday will be the music & neighbourhood good times!

Come and find some gold in the laneway! Catch up with neighbours, enjoy some excellent live music from the blocks in which we live, and make some new friends!
