View from the Round House with Martin Drum – Is Trump v Biden a foregone conclusion?

Welcome back to our politics podcast, View From The Round House With Martin Drum.

In this podcast, the Shipping News’ editor, Michael Barker asks the the Prof about the US Primaries. Who will win the Republican Party’s nomination for the next US Presidential election on Tuesday, 5 November 2024? Surely it’ll be the former President, Donald Trump? He’s unassailable, isn’t he? And is President Joe Biden a shoo-in for the Democrats? Surely he is? Or isn’t he? And if each is their Party’s nominee, should we be worried about the state of US democracy in the first part of the 21st century? And does the outcome of an election between these two rivals carry any implications for Australia?

Martin Drum is the Executive Dean for the Faculty of Arts, Sciences, Business and Law and Professor of Politics and International Relations at the University of Notre Dame Australia, a frequenter of Fremantle, and a well know political pundit.
