Paul Gamblin has quite a body of campaigning work to show from the past 25 years or so, here in Freo, around WA, nationally and internationally.
Back in the 90s, he was involved in the Save Leighton campaign.
Then in the early 2000s, he became the Spokesperson for the successful Save Ningaloo Campaign for the WA Conservation Council.
After that, Paul spent a good part of the next 20 years working with WWF – World Wildlife Fund – both nationally in Australia and then internationally.
Now he’s back in Freo and working with the Australian Marine Conservation Society and heading the latest phase of the Protect Ningaloo campaign – bringing the Exmouth Guif into the existing Ningaloo World Heritage area.
On top of all that Paul has also found himself involved, once again after all these years, with the Leighton Action Coalition responding to the WA Planning Commission’s proposal to amend the Metropolitan Region Scheme to allow redevelopment of the coastal strip adjacent to Leighton and Port Beaches.
Here are other images that Paul Gamblin speaks to in the podcast interview below.
Paul Gamblin kindly agreed to sit down with our editor, Michael Barker, to make this podcast discussing his career to date and the latest Save Leighton and Port Beach conservation tussle.
