Robby Lang is something of a legend around Fremantle. A Scot originally, and still by accent – although he also packs a mean Aussie twang – he has long been a Fremantle Person with an eye on everything happening culturally and economically, socially and politically in the City.
An early Freo Markets man and metal sculpture fiend, he now can be found at the Fibonacci Centre in Blinco Street cooking up a cultural and artistic storm.
Robby sees good in unusual places, like the derelict South Freo Power Station building. And he has a wonderful capacity to get his ideas across. Hear his story, which takes you from Scotland to California and eventually to Fremantle, and how he assesses Freo’s past, present and future.
