Enter Your Pics Super Quick for The Piazza Photo Prize

The inaugural PIAZZA Photography Prize is currently open with entries closing this Sunday 28 June. Be quick!

The photo competition is open to photographers of all ages and stages, making it an important platform for local photographers to share their work in a highly visible way. 

The requirements for entry are:

  • A focus on local spaces, places and faces both in Fremantle and the wider creative community
  • Open to photographers of all ages and stages
  • Open to WA residents only
  • Portraits, landscapes & street photography welcome
  • NO A.I. generated images.

Once entries close, the submissions will be shortlisted by celebrated Fremantle photographer Adam Kenna, with the winners chosen by Christine Thomas, Director of Perth Centre for Photography; Marnie Richardson, Three Gates Media; and Ron Bradfield Jnr, Artist and Community Engagement Facilitator at John Curtin Gallery.

There is a total prize pool of $6,000 up for grabs, with prizes for:

  • PIAZZA Photography Prize (overall winner): $3,000
  • 2 x Highly Commended: $1,000ea
  • Youth Award (u18): $500
  • People’s Choice Award: $500 – this will be chosen once the exhibition opens next month

A curated selection of works will be chosen to form a large-scale outdoor exhibition at PIAZZA in July.
