Yesterday’s Fremantle Harbour Classic yacht race was a huge success. Rain showers and a bruised sky only added to the atmosphere.
What could be more exciting than a fleet of keelboats racing inside the harbour. Close shaves, spinnaker hoists and drops, tacking and gybing and lots of shouting from skippers and crew.
And here’s some of the action from the day, courtesy Fremantle Sailing Club.

There was even live commentary from Gage Roads Brewery!
And the winners:
1st – King Canute, skippered by Matt Rose
2nd – Huckleberry, skippered by Phil Somerville-Ryan
3rd – MX, skippered by Ron MacArthur.
