NUCLEAR LANDSCAPES – Opening Soon

Brett Leigh Dicks is a wonderful photographer, world class. Produces amazing stuff.

And now his NUCLEAR LANDSCAPES exhibition opens next week, 12 September, here in Freo. You really won’t want to miss it.

In his own words, Brett has been chipping away at this project for the past 15 years. During that period he has visited and photographed over 150 different nuclear-related locations across America, ranging from atomic test sites to nuclear reactors, missile bases, and waste dumps.

The resulting exhibition, NUCLEAR LANDSCAPES opens at the Moores Building Art Space in Fremantle on Friday 12 September, 6-8pm

There are 30 large-scale photographs in the exhibition, produced, as Brett puts it, after ‘a decade-and-a-half of surviving greasy diners and dive motels while covering over 20,000 miles’.

Here’s a gallery of some of them.

And here is a website for the exhibition itself.
