Don’t miss Jackie Ellis’ ‘JOY AND LIGHT’ Exhibition

We all seek joy and light in our lives, don’t we?

Well, Jackie Ellis, an East Kimberley-based artist, is about to bring to Freo the joy and light she has discovered surrounding her idyllic Lake Kununurra houseboat home.

Jackie is inspired daily to paint the beauty of the Ord River and the colours of the gorges.

From her houseboat home she gets to experience first hand the colours of each season; the ebb and flow of the river; the summer storm clouds; the clear skies of winter; the birds that sing at dawn; and the animals that snuffle around at dusk.

She lives in this natural watery world and explores the surrounding terrain by hiking and camping in the gorges.

Jackie’s love of her East Kimberley world shines through in her paintings, as you’ll soon be able to discover for yourselves at her upcoming Fremantle exhibition aptly titled ‘Joy and Light: Exploring self in nature’. Don’t miss it!

DETAILS: The ‘Joy and Light’ exhibition is part of the Fringe Festival and will run at Kidogo Arthouse on Bathers Beach, Fremantle each day from 8-19 February 2023, between 11 am – 4 pm.

You can also register for the free Meet the Artist evening commencing at 6pm on Wednesday, 15 February 2023.
