View from the Round House with Martin Drum – Mourning, Putin, Mid Terms, AFL

Welcome back to our politics podcast, View From The Round House With Martin Drum.

What a week. Yesterday was a national day of mourning in Australia. President Putin of Russia has threatened nuclear war. The mid terms in the US, a slightly more peaceful version of that, are heating up. WA doesn’t seem to have a net zero policy with so much fossil fuel resource activity being approved off the North West coast. The AFL became engulfed in turmoil after an indigenous racism report found the light of day. Phew. And on top of all that, it was announced that the conditional sale of the South Freo Power Station to Kerry Stokes for a heritage redevelopment, has fallen through.

In this podcast, the Shipping News’ editor, Michael Barker canvasses all these topics, and more, with Professor Drum.

Martin Drum is Professor of Politics and International Relations at Notre Dame University, Fremantle and a well know political pundit.
