You have to love the 60s!

Freo Today. 5 August 2021. You have to love the 60s, because you surely couldn’t do an apartment development like this – pretty much in a low level residential Freo neighbourhood – today. As you walk past these well known apartments at 182 South Terrace, Fremantle, you can’t stop your eye being drawn to them, especially to what look like garage doors at ground level off South Terrace. Well, we are reliably informed they were once garage doors, but the garages behind them ceased to operate as such years ago. And we are also reliably informed that somewhere, deep in the bowels of the apartments, are to be found remnants of a much earlier development on the site – a church. Fremantle’s wonders never cease!
