Spare a thought for the seafarers

Freo Today. 7 June 2023. Here’s the container ship Northern Javelin, alongside in Fremantle Port in the early evening around 17.40 last night, with the Svitzer tugs Eagle and Redhead helping out. Spare a thought, or two, for all the seafarers hard at work in the wild weather of the past few days. Northern Javelin sails under the flag of Portugal and will depart for Singapore in a couple days. Btw, as you can see, she’s pretty big – 334 m long and 43 wide with a gross tonnage of around 95000. Lovely pic by our Shipping Correspondent Jean Hudson.
