A large crowd gathered for Paddle for the Planet at Dyoondalup/Point Walter on Sunday 30 November, between 10-12.
The global Paddle for the Planet movement unites paddlers across the globe to raise awareness for the protection of our rivers, lakes, oceans, and the planet.

After a smoking ceremony nearby the Derbarl Yerrigan, paddlers of all ages took to the water on standup paddle boards, kayaks and canoes. The group formed a circle beneath the Point Walter jetty.

There were environmental talks and activities for all ages, and opportunities to connect with local paddling clubs and conservation groups.

This was a wonderful family event with an important message.
