Beautiful Bolette Arrives in Freo

The smallish but perfectly formed Bolette made an elegant entrance in Fremantle’s inner harbour just before 6 am this morning.

She’s on a 87 day cruise out of Liverpool, England that ends before long in Cape Town, South Africa. Her last port of call was Albany, her next Port Louis, Mauritius.

The early morning light helped to show off Bolette‘s beautiful lines as she made her entrance in Fremantle.

Some local ship spotters may remember her from an earlier life. Here she is arriving in Freo just over 7 years ago when she was the Amsterdam.

Well, now she’s Bolette and a member of Fred Olsen Cruise Lines’ fleet.

You may be interested to see Bolette’s full itinerary. Very nice.

Bolette is in Freo just for the day today on a ‘Transit’ visit.

Guests will get the chance to explore off-board for the day before returning to the ship tonight.

Of the 929 guests on board, 449 are on pre-booked tours out of Freo today, leaving around 480 folk to spend the day in Fremantle. Do give them a nice smile and a hello if you spot them around town today.

Most guests are continuing on the cruise, with 7 disembarking in Fremantle and 16 joining the cruise.

There are 611 crew, which is a great crew to passenger ratio.

The Bolette has smart appointments. Here are a couple images to make you wish you were sailing with her!

Welcome to Freo, Bolette, and guests and crew!

If you missed her arrival this morning, you can catch Bolette departing just before midnight tonight at Victoria Quay. She will be quite a sight in the night ablaze with light!
