The Huxleys Launch – FANTASTIC!

In case you were wondering how The Huxleys first ever Australian exhibition launch went on Friday night went, it was FANTASTIC!

And you can all get to see it until 27 January,

It makes Priscilla Queen of the desert look tame, and here I thought no one could upstage Terence Stamp.

This duo lit up the stage with glitter and curious ornaments to a heaving crowd at the Fremantle Arts Centre, a debut performance for them that arose out of the lockdowns.

We got to explore their surreal outfits and adventures over three rooms, including very catchy music videos and reimaginings of the Elvis era, before being treated to two live performances and preaching sorely needed and timely messages of love and tolerance. A highlight included guest appearance from Tokyo Rose.

“Take what society criticises about you and amplify it”.

Meanwhile, I’ll be humming “Style Over Substance” gleefully for a few days.
