Now if you are looking for something to do right now other than visiting a certain Mexican tall ship in Freo harbour, you might consider a visit to Santa Maria In Trastevere, Rome.
It’s reputed to be on the site of one of the earliest Christian churches in Rome, from around the 200s.
Perhaps City of Fremantle could consider constructing a replica Santa Maria In Trastevere in a nice open, central Freo spot, like the Esplanade. Would be a huge tourist attraction, for sure. Of course, it would have to be inter-faith.
What do you think?
