Do you like a good Protest?
Of course you do!
So why don’t you join the Protest rally of Grandmothers for Refugees and friends at 5 pm tomorrow, Friday 21 July at the Scots Presbyterian Church at the corner of South Terrace and Parry Street, Fremantle.
The Protest is to mark ten years since then PM Kevin Rudd announced no asylum seeker coming by boat would step foot in Australia.
Since that time Australia has spent 13 billion dollars and 14 people have lost their lives.
The Grandmothers believe it’s time to stand up for the 80 people abandoned offshore, the hundreds in detention in Australia as well as thousands in the community who are not allowed to work or study.
