It’s like entering another world, when you enter the Sandy McKendrick-inspired Fish Shack Exhibition in B Shed at Victoria Quay, right on the water.
Part sculpture, part installation, part arrangement – and all infused with subtle colours from the sea. Or at least from the Freo fishing industry of old. Great photographs too.
And there are art and craft classes happening as well.
But you need to be relatively quick as the Exhibition ends Sunday 2 May. This ANZAC Day long weekend would be a great time to visit.
Although you might not want to miss the concert that wraps up the event on 2 May either!
Here’s our gallery of the B Shed Exhibition.
Sandy McKendrick took 5 minutes out of her hectic program to tell the Shipping News’ Michael Barker all about the exhibition, what inspired it and what else she is up to. Have a listen here.
