Well, this story on the reduced speed limits went pretty viral on Facebook as soon as we shared it!
Lots of commentary on what should now happen with the speed humps currently in South Terrace, South Freo, suggestions for pedestrianising streets, and so much more!
Bearing in mind the recently concluded road and kerbing configurations in South Terrace south of South Street, the landscaping that comes with it, and the possibility of some more painted surfaces all the way along South Terrace to Douro Road from South Street, along the lines of those near the Little Lefroy intersection, and the erection of good 40K signage at appropriate distances along South Terrace, one wonders whether there would any longer be a need to maintain the speed humps. It would be a more aesthetically pleasing, village-like precinct without them, that’s for sure.
