As stage 2 of the meetings, gatherings and other not-making-contact orders kicks in, and so few businesses can carry on with their old business models, if at all, some have had to close, period; others have chosen to do so for the time being; and others are providing limited services, like takeaway coffee and food.
Some, however, are quite open , like clothing and gift stores, and some hairdressers – and even a sail maker.
But the pubs and bars definitely aren’t.

The only positive side of all this is that you can easily walk from South Street to Douro Road, along the Terrace, without violating the 1.5 metre social distance rule.
