Crafty Morning at South Mole

Freo Today. 17 April 2026. Yesterday morning, around 7 am at South Mole, things turned decidedly crafty! From right: in the distance, beyond North Mole’s red lighthouse, Toronto a RO-RO vehicle carrier with the distinctive Wallenius Wilhelmsen turquoise and grey trimmings; then the Rottnest Island ferry Eagle Express on her way to Wadjemup; then the stoic North Mole red lighthouse; followed by the looming large Hoegh Borealis RO-RO in her stark white top and blue under markings to the left of the lighthouse; a little farther back, Golden Unity a chemical/oil products tanker; then in the distance towards the horizon Rottnest Island Wadjemup itself; and finally a cheeky little runabout insisting on being in the frame, and succeeding!
