May Day returned to Fremantle on Sunday, 3 May 2026!
WA unions and workers assembled at the Esplanade on the Sunday morning before marching through the streets of Freo to honour the struggles of those who have fought to achieve the working conditions workers have today.
And there were others marching too, wanting to represent issues important to them.
And many happy and interested onlookers lined the streets too. Indeed, it was family, and pet friendly event.
Our Gayle O’Leary was there, camera in hand, to capture some of the action.
Here’s one gallery.

And here’s another!

Long live May Day!
