In our recent article They’re Off And Racing In The 2025 Freo LGA Stakes, we introduced you to all the candidates standing for Mayor and Ward Councillor positions on Fremantle Council at the upcoming October elections.
We have invited all candidates to be interviewed by our Editor in a getting-to -know-you podcast format explaining why they are running.
Third candidate out of the barrier is Marija Vujcic, a former Councillor and former unsuccessful candidate for Mayor who is standing again for both Mayor and, in the event she doesn’t win that contest, also for the office of Councillor in the Coastal Ward. In the Mayoral contest Marija is up against Ben Lawver, Mark Woodcock, Hannah Fitzhardinge and Jenny Archibald. In Coastal Ward the others standing are Selwyn Castles and Andrew Sullivan.

FYI, here’s Marija’s Profile as filed by her with her official nomination for Mayor, which is substantially the same as the Profile filed with her nomination for the Coastal ward Councillor office except that the Giving Back pledge is $140,000 for the Councillor nomination.

And you’ll find our podcast interview with Marija below.
