The Insignia cruise ship, operated by Oceania Cruises, arrived in Fremantle at around 7pm last night, Election Night, 3 May 2025. She’s in from Komodo, Indonesia.
She’s a small luxury cruise ship offering an ‘intimate and refined experience’ compared to larger vessels, according to Oceania Cruises.
Here she is this morning 4 May, in the middle of this pic alongside the famed Fremantle Passenger Terminal.
Insignia accommodates 684 passengers, making her much smaller than mainstream cruise ships like those from Royal Caribbean or Carnival, which often carry thousands of guests.
Oceania Cruises is known for its exceptional cuisine often rated among the best at sea. Insignia offers open-seating dining with gourmet options, rivaling high-end competitors like Regent Seven Seas.
Unlike larger ships with Broadway-style shows and water parks, Insignia focuses on enrichment programs, lectures, and cultural experiences.
Insignia is in Freo for a couple days, departing for Busselton on Monday around 1 pm.
Pop on down to Victoria Quay to see her sail away.
