Don’t miss this evening at Sullivan Hall, 2 Nannine Avenue, White Gum Valley on 24 November between 6-9 pm, featuring the gorgeous folk harmonies of Oceanique, plus special guests The Night Parrot Choir, and Tom Brown.
Bring a cushion or rug, some warm or cool refreshments and a friend or neighbour and enjoy the night out.
Hailing from the deep south of WA, Oceanique combines close harmonies, wonder and warm melodies, like the feeling of staring up at a big blue country sky. Twin sisters Maddy and Jess craft music rich in the folk storytelling tradition with seamless blood harmonies and reflective lyrics.
They’ve already been awarded Folk Alliance Australia’s ‘Youth Artist of the Year’ (2022) and Port Fairy Folk Festival’s ‘Emerging Artist of the Year’ (2024).
This will be a special chance to be transported by Oceanique in the Valley!
The Night Parrot Choir is a group of locals who share a love for the power of music, and whose aim is to take us all on a journey of harmonious sounds and a rich tapestry of musical pieces that leave lasting memories. Masterfully led by singer, songwriter, and creative energy force Anna Wallwork, the Night Parrot Choir promises to bring musical enchantment & connections to the heart.
Tom Brown brings his lo-frills, hi-honesty bedroom indie sound of layered guitars and earnest vocals, fresh off his excellent debut release ‘My Holland Street Heart’ (2024). Tom will be joined by Ryan Borrett (Brushtail) on second guitar, fresh from their own collaborative ‘Happenings EP’ (2024) that combined Brushtail’s production palette with Tom’s undeniable knack for melody, joined by a common thread seeking honesty, joy, and coming back to the here and now.
Food and drinks will be available on the night, and a special art projection.
Come on down to Sullivan Hall for a night of music, neighbourhood and community.
Tickets online right here.
See you there!
