P&O Cruises injecting $29m into WA this year

Fremantle is the current homeport for P&O Cruises Australia’s Pacific Explorer with seven cruises departing from Fremantle over the next couple of months.

P&O says it will inject $29 million into the Western Australian economy this year as it invites locals and tourists alike to embark on unforgettable journeys along WA’s stunning coastline.

P&O has advised Fremantle Shipping News that: ‘the $29M is a combination of guests staying in hotels in Fremantle before they get on the cruise, dining in restaurants while ported, and shore tours.’

P&O also proudly sources 100 per cent of their food and beverage from Australian suppliers – ‘West Australian growers, farmers and small businesses can rely on our business all year round, because P&O is in Australia all year round.

Of note, they source lamb, avocado and asparagus from West Australian growers. P&O explain their guests love to dine on the best Australian produce they can find and their on-board culinary teams are always looking for new ways to delight.

For more than 90 years, P&O Cruises Australia note they have taken Australians and New Zealanders on dream holidays to amazing destinations along the Australian coast as well as the idyllic South Pacific. The home grown cruise line delivers a holiday with great entertainment, world-class dining and unforgettable on-board experiences while sailing to some of the most incredible destinations in the Pacific. Delivered in the Aussie way, P&O says, you can choose to do everything, or nothing at all, on their cruises.
