Shirase, here again and soon to be gone again!

Freo Today. 24 February 2026. The famous Japanese ice breaker Shirase, a fairly frequent visitor to Fremantle on her way to and from Antarctica, is back in Freo briefly before departing for Antarctica again after restocking. Jean Hudson captured this nice pic of her tied up at Victoria Quay yesterday lunchtime for all our Shipees!
