Poetic Child MSC Tomoko arrives on shortest day of the year

Freo Today. 21 June 2021. Shortest day of the year. And to celebrate it, MSC Tomoko arrived pretty much mid day. She’s in from Adelaide and soon to take a container load to Singapore. As to her name, Tomoko (ともこ, トモコ) is a female Japanese given name. Like many Japanese names, Tomoko can be written using different kanji characters and can mean:
友子 – “friendly child”
知子 – “knowing child”
智子 – “wise child”
朋子 – “friendly child”
皆子 – “beautiful girl”
詩子 – “poetic child”
We’ve gone with poetic child!
