If you are looking for a pleasant, peaceful Freo stroll or bike ride any time of the day or night, then make your way to Capo d’Orlando Drive near the intersection of Mews Road and Marine Terrace, Fremantle. Your jaunt to the end of the Drive will be rewarded with great views of the Indian Ocean from the top of the sea wall, as well as incoming and outgoing fishing and pleasure craft and the swanky boats moored in Fishing Boat Harbour and the nearby Fremantle Sailing Club. So, make your way to Capo d’Orlando soon! Capo d’Orlando is of course that part of Sicily from where so many early Sicilian immigrants to Freo harkened, as Mrs Nancy Fiocco explained to us in one of our early Fremantle People podcasts 7 years ago.
