Freo gears up for SailGP

Freo Today. 7 January 2026. Fremantle gearing up for SailGP. The first leg of 2026 SailGP season on 17 and 18 January, now just over a week away. The disassembled boats arrived on 31 December in containers onboard the Atlantic Dawn container ship. The containers were stacked up at the DP compound in North Fremantle. A team of 25 people on land and on the water is required to assemble and float each F50. The boats are being assembled. Watch out for them training off our local beaches.
